HSBC Singapore Appoints New Head of Wealth and Private Banking


HSBC introduced the appointment of Ashmita Acharya as Head of Wealth and Private Banking (WPB) in Singapore, with impact 18 January 2023.

Ashmita will report back to each Wong Kee Joo, CEO, HSBC Singapore and Greg Hingston, CEO, HSBC World Insurance coverage and Partnerships, and Interim Head of WPB, South Asia.

She joins HSBC from Citibank the place she was most lately Retail Banking Head for Singapore. Ashmita was accountable for wealth administration and mortgage enterprise development in her previous position.

Previous to that, she was Asia Pacific Head of Retail Segments, main acquisition, section proposition, consumer engagement and analytics for all 17 companies within the Asia Pacific, Europe, and Center East areas.

HSBC mentioned that it goals to double its wealth enterprise in Singapore by 2025 and is essential in connecting purchasers to worldwide alternatives.
