Catering group Sodexo sees 2023 income, margins returning to 2019 ranges By Reuters

(Reuters) – French catering and meals companies group Sodexo (EPA:) onWednesday mentioned it anticipated 2023 income and revenue margins to hit 2019 ranges, as occasions and retail websites restarted and extra folks returned to places of work.

The outlook got here as the corporate reported better-than-expected full-year income, pushed by all-time-high consumer retention charge and powerful new enterprise progress, regardless of the inflationary backdrop.

The Paris-based agency posted annual income of 21.13billion euros, in comparison with a 20.73 billion euros forecast by analysts polled by the corporate.

Sodexo, which serves companies, armed forces, hospitals,colleges and occasions attendees, mentioned income of its important On-site Providers unit reached 99% of its 2019 ranges within the fourth quarter.

Pointing to the unit’s return to pre-pandemic ranges, the group now expects revenues and margins for 2023 to return to 2019 ranges.

For 2023, Sodexo forecasts natural income progress of between 8% and 10%, pushed by additional progress in new enterprise and inflation, and underlying working revenue margin round 30%.
